Demonstrates the complete Astoria solution in booth #108

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, April 11, 2005 – Astoria Software, the leader in XML content management solutions for dynamic publishing, is participating in the 2005 Gilbane Conference on Content Management Strategies , opening today at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco, CA. Astoria will demonstrate Astoria 4.3, an XML-based content management solution for dynamic publishing, in booth #108. In addition, an Astoria-based solution for e-Learning developed by a partner, Commandtext, will be showcased.

Allan Syiek , founding partner of Commandtext, is a featured panelist in the “ Solutions for Complex Content Applications” session on Tuesday, April 12, 2:00-3:30 p.m. (www.gilbane.com/conferences/San_Francisco_05.html). Mr. Syiek will provide an overview of the solution being deployed to manage content for Internet-based education and training programs providing over 120 different courses in 152 countries around the world. The courses and related assessments are subject to frequent change, and the content must be produced in multiple languages and formats, combined into different courses, or efficiently searched and retrieved from large volumes of similar material. A strong, scalable, XML centric content management system was crucial to the success of the implementation. Commandtext chose Astoria’s.

“More companies are now relying on complex content to drive strategic segments of their business,” said Mr. Syiek. . “The ability to conduct dynamic publishing is becoming a critical operating competency. Tracking, reusing, and repurposing information assets across present and future media is essential to achieving the efficiency, flexibility and accuracy required in today’s marketplace.”

“Astoria solutions are uniquely designed to solve the difficult challenges in mission-critical enterprise documentation and dynamic publishing,” said Thomas Steding, CEO of Astoria Software. “And this conference is distinctive as well in its ability to bring together the leading content management experts and solution developers.”
