Astoria Software to Showcase Content Management Best Practices as Platinum Sponsor of DocTrain East 2007

Company Joins Adobe Systems as Premier Supporter of Documentation & Training Conference Highlighting "Advancing Your Career"

SAN MATEO, Calif. - October 10, 2007 – Driving efficiencies in dynamic publishing, Astoria Software will be speaking on and demonstrating the benefits of Software as a Service (SaaS) and the Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA) information standard at DocTrain East 2007. The conference will be held October 16-20, 2007, in Lowell, Massachusetts, at the Doubletree Hotel. Astoria joins Adobe Systems, Inc., as the only two platinum sponsors of this leading industry event, which focuses on the theme, "Advancing Your Career."

Highlights of Astoria's participation at DocTrain East 2007 will include:

• "Understanding Content Component Management." Steve Manning, principal consultant with The Rockley Group, will moderate a panel discussion focusing on the critical elements of content components. Chip Gettinger, vice president, services and sales support for Astoria Software, will be among the panel members at this presentation to be held 9:45 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. on October 18, 2007.
• "Achieve Dynamic Publishing with DITA and CMS Adoption: Astoria On-Demand Demonstration." Bill Kirk, senior business consultant for Astoria Software, will demonstrate how organizations are adopting the DTIA information management standard and a content management system to make their processes more efficient. The demonstration will be held 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on October 18, 2007.
• "Successful Processes for Selecting a Content Management System: How to Become an Expert in Technology Acquisition." Astoria's Chip Gettinger will join a panel discussion led by Mary Laplante, vice president of The Gilbane Group, that will cover the important factors that should be considered in system selection. The presentation will be held from 3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. on October 18, 2007.
• Online radio interview with Astoria's featured presenter, Chip Gettinger. Interviews will be broadcast live and be archived online after the event.
• In the Technology Showcase, Astoria will demonstrate Astoria On-Demand, its SaaS offering for structured content management. In addition, the company will highlight their technology partnership with JustSystems, Inc., and present the integrated XMetaL and Astoria Software solution.
