Familiar Word Experience, Extended CMS Capabilities

The Astoria integration with MS Word 2003 provides a seamless interface for Word authors, providing them the familiar Word experience. For instance, to edit a Word document, an author selects the File menu in Word, then clicks Open and selects the specific document or from the Astoria 4.4 XML repository, which then appears in MS Word for full editing using standard Word menus, styles and commands.

Additionally, Astoria integration extends MS Word considerably with powerful XML content management capabilities. As an example, subsets of master documents and graphics components also can be shared through re-use between MS Word documents, and when the respective source document is updated, all re-used components are automatically updated with the latest content.
